“I believe the Federal government has grown out of control, threatening the Rights, Liberties, and Property of the People.

“This is being done at the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial level. This is in direct opposition to the Constitution and the Founding Fathers vision for the Federal government.

“Because I believe this, today I exercised my right as a Free Citizen, and did not visit the White House. This was not about politics or party, as in my opinion both parties are responsible for the situation we are in as a country. This was about a choice I had to make as an INDIVIDUAL.

“This is the only public statement I will be making on this topic. TT”

Well said Tim, you are my hero of the day.

  1. Really? This is hero-worthy? He takes a routine congratulatory event (the kind every world leader hosts)- a fluffy photo-op and turns it into a media frenzy. I just think it’s ill-timed.

    • How is it ill timed? Just curious. He does not have to attend, if he doesn’t want to. The rest of the team went. I like someone, who stands for what they believe. They are not afraid to show it. People are really funny. When Tim Tebow, was made into a media frenzy, by the media, I might add, they made fun of him. Now Myra Kraft is the reason for the Patriots win???? Isn’t she dead? It’s the same thing, isn’t it?

  2. Love Tim….He is a great goalie, and, a good man. He is entitled to do what he feels is right. His statement read that he is doing it as an individual. I respect that.

  3. Standing up for your beliefs is never an easy thing, especially when it “goes against the popular sentiment”. I have to tip my hat to the guy for doing what he felt was right, although I wouldn’t blame him at all had he chosen to accept his rightful congratulations either. :) He earned that, so it was his to accept or reject as he pleased.
