Well since all the drama surrounding Chick-fil-A started me and the family has done what the cows have asked us to do and that is, “Eat Mor Chikin”. Those waffle fries are damn good! But let’s call this what it is, this is plain and simple “Bullying” with a capital “B”. This is some in the gay community trying to push people around in which they do not agree with. We see and hear all the time gay people taking stands against bullying and rightfully so, but as we are starting to see more often, members of the gay community have no problem bullying those they don’t agree with. If you are a person, group or organization that voice your disagreement with gay marriage, this Chick-fil-A episode shows that some in the gay community will do their best to viciously beat you down.
President of Chick-fil-A, Dan Cathy had to know his views on gay marriage might get him in trouble but he stood up and spoke for what he believed in and for that, kudos. My belief is one of the main reason why Christian values are being weakened in the world is many Christians fold under the pressure to fit in and accept change, but not all change is good. For not speaking up we are becoming distant to God, we are replacing Gods language with our own. We are letting those who are some not even Christian tell us what Christians should accept and believe in. The gay community has figured out two ways to get Christians to accept their behavior, first is to suggest it’s not Christian-like to oppose their relationships and the second is to simply try to shame and ridicule Christians into silence. Their little plan has gotten big returns and have many Christians stumbling.
But one thing for sure, I will not be silenced, unless I’m munching on a Chargrilled Chicken Club Sandwich with a side of large waffle fries and a lemonade. I’m going to one up Mike Huckabee, who declared Wednesday “Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day” and take the family to Chick-fil-A at least twice a week, up from our about two times a month visits.
The only way to beat a bully is to not back down from a bully, and even better if you have numbers you can beat the bully and we Christians have the numbers. Eat Mor Chikin!

No Chick-Fil-A’s near me.
*applause*! I’d appreciate it if you’d have a sandwich for me too, as we don’t have any Chick-fil-A’s around here.
I love this line, “We are letting those who are some not even Christian tell us what Christians should accept and believe in.” That is the God’s honest truth, Mike, and we Christians ought to be ashamed of ourselves for allowing them to walk all over us.
They (non-Christians) claim to know everything that Christ said but they clearly don’t have a clue. As my husband is fond of saying, “The Book opens, you know, it’s not just for decoration!”
Great post.
Eat mor chikin – love it!
No problem eating one on your behalf!
I bet there will be some Christians stopping their visits to Chick Fil A because they ewere told by these un-Christian people; they make it to easy for those against us.
I agree with you Mike. That is just like the whole ” Happy Holidays” thing. I am sorry but I am a Christian and if I want to say “Merry Christmas” I will. Christmas is a celebration of our saviors birth and is so commercialized now it is ridiculous. Furthermore, I can not stand a bully and have dealt with them on many occasions. But, I still believe what the Bible says. Marriage is between one man and one woman. I am no-one to judge anyone. Only God should judge but if I choose to share my beliefs with someone that should be fine too. We Christians have bent over backwards to accommodate non-believers and not offend them, but the sad thing is you don’t see them doing the same. I ate Chick-Fil-A today and let me tell you it was delicious and I eat it often.
As Christians we must be weary when someone starts a conversation off with, “As a Christian you are’nt you suppose to be more accepting of others”. That’s a set-up statement, trying to corner us. We here that often with non believers trying to interject their values into us.
Thanks for the comments, I am with you 100%.
Just saying hello! Hope you’re well.
Thanks for caring Vanessa. I have been very busy working, I am now the Community Outreach Director for Texas College Republicans and I’m working on several campaigns for the 2012 elections and going to school so I have gotten myself in the weeds. I hope to get back to writing soon, I have some thoughts on young voters I really want to get out. Thanks again for looking out for me.
