Look I went to medical school and after I graduated I started to apply, its funny Cus I applied at one hospital and the lady who gave me the application said if you don’t speak Spanish then we won’t hire you because most of our patients are Hispanic. So I got mad and told her if that’s the case why didn’t they tell us this in medical school before I shot my ass into debt and she started talking in Spanish and I felt so mad. She had the nerve to say well we came here first and blah blah. So I started bringing out facts to shut her fat face up and she just shrugged her shoulders and said adios Americana . From that moment I realized wait my parents came to this country from the islands for us to have an opportunity in life but we can’t because we don’t speak Spanish? Wtf is going on that I have to learn Spanish when I don’t even speak my own language because English was priority growing up since we are Americans and to have someone tell me I have to learn another language if I want a job anywhere just irritates me. I don’t find that fair.
